What is Esperanto?

Published in 1887 by Dr. L.L. Zamenhof, Esperanto has grown to become the most widely spoken constructed language in the world. It was created as a tool for people from different backgrounds to communicate in a more just way. It is very easy to learn due to its regular constructed grammar.

About the Esperanto Society of New York

Founded in 1905 by Max Talmey, the Esperanto Society of New York is made up of a diverse group of esperantists living in and around New York City. Our goal is to build connections between esperantists near and far, and to support Esperanto by arranging cultural gatherings and collaborating with neighbor organizations in New York City.
